Timing belts

The purpose of the timing belt is to rotate the camshafts in such a way that the opening and closing of the intake and exhaust valves timing remain consistent with the position of the pistons.

This opening and closing timing of the intake and exhaust valves is very important and a key factor for any combustion engine to remain functional. If your timing belt snaps it can damage the cylinder head valves and the engine usually fails.

It is not easy to find and discover if there is any problem with the cam belt as it is hidden under the protected cover until it’s too late and has broken. The best solution is to follow the timing belt replacement interval guideline given by the manufacture and get it changed accordingly.
